There is some info about this gassing issue and how we the residents of Pa. can help end the gassing of animals in shelters. Just go to senator Andy Dinniman’s website. This one was set to make the public aware of this very issue by telling the story of Daniel, a dog that actually survived a gassing in Alabama. But the use here in Pa. can also do what that state did, end the use of gas chambers.

Venango County Humane Society and Crawford County Humane Society are 2 of the 3 groups still using the gas chambers. I live in Venango County and have actively begged, pleaded, campaigned against this practice. They respond that the gas chamber is humane and in fact bought a new chamber in 2003.
